UN agency reports rise in number of Armenians seeking asylum abroad

A United Nations agency dealing with refugees says the number of applications for asylum from Armenians in European and other developed countries has been rising in the past two years.

A report published this week by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees suggests that more than 11,000 citizens of Armenia sought asylum in the West during this period.

Good riddens, these are people who didn't belong to Armenia in the first place. Things like not enough pay for work, corruption etc. are now considered reasons to leave the country and seek jobs like cleaning toilets abroad. These people should go visit some of the real Armenians living in the buffer zones in liberated Artsakh who rely on themselves to make a living and survive a dignified and proud life rather than clean Turkish homes and abandon their children in other countries.
