Armenia international goalkeeper Roman Berezovsky has signed an 18-month deal with Dynamo Moscow, marking the veteran’s return to the club after six years, Dynamo said Thursday, as reported by RIA Novosti.

Berezovsky won praise for his performances during Armenia’s qualification for the Euro 2012 before being controversially sent off as Armenia lost the decisive final match of the group stage 2-1 against Ireland in Dublin.

The 37-year-old leaves second-tier side FC Khimki to rejoin a club where he played 90 games between 2002 and 2005.

“In the six years I’ve missed at Dynamo, the club has made not just one step forward, but very many. That means the infrastructure, the team, everything associated with Dynamo,” Berezovsky said on the club’s website.

“I’m very happy to end up in this community. I will try to help the white-and-blues at the end of the season. Dynamo fans have always been affectionate to me and I’ve been affectionate back, but now I can win the love of the fans again.”
