Protestors turn on police, chase media from scene

A crowd already reaching a few thousand continues to swell outside the French Embassy in central Yerevan where the atmosphere is tense and the mass agitated.

A witness told ArmeniaNow that at least one policeman, who had been separated from his platoon was attacked and beaten by protestors. The witness said that police try to stay together, but that once separated are running from the protestors.

ArmeniaNow was also told that police cars’ tires have been punctured by demonstrators.
